Brooke Adams, MA came to our team with the perfect background as a registered medical assistant and licensed aesthetician. When you visit Pure Skin, it’s likely that you’ll be greeted by Brooke’s smiling face as she walks you back for your appointment.

After completing an MA program at GRCC in 2015, Brooke spent the first years in her profession working for Spectrum Health OBGYN during which she pursued her state license as an aesthetician at Douglas J. Aveda Institute. She says “I love that my position at Pure Skin is the absolute perfect marriage of my skill set and education. I’ve always had a passion for assisting patients, but this place allows me to apply my knowledge of medical aesthetics to that care. It’s been an excellent next step in my career.”

Jamey Bailey

Aesthetician

Jamey Bailey has provided superior clinical skincare at the Centre for Pure Skin as our lead aesthetician since 2000. She is licensed in the state of Michigan, and certified as a laser and CoolSculpting specialist.  Jamey has a robust following of loyal patients because of her extensive skills, knowledge and fabulous bedside manner. You may find that she is one of the most well-respected and sought-after aestheticians in West Michigan.

Jamey began her career as a makeup and skincare specialist, passionate about making her clients feel empowered and beautiful. In medical aesthetics, she found a path where she could make an even bigger impact. She says, “I truly care about each of my patients and consider them as friends. I love interacting with them and helping them feel better about themselves. It is a joy to see their self-confidence increase as their skin becomes healthy and glowing.”
 

Diane Blaisdell

LPN, Facial Aesthetics Consultant

As a Facial Aesthetics Consultant, Diane Blaisdell, LPN brings over two decades of experience in both dermatology and medical aesthetic skincare. She started in this role while working with renowned expert injector, Dr. Lamberts , joining the Centre for Pure Skin upon his retirement in 2018. Diane’s path to becoming a Facial Aesthetics Consultant began with her nursing degree in 1979. She explored several areas of nursing before discovering her passion for skin. She keeps up with the latest advancements in the field by attending continuing education courses offered by top organizations like Galderma, Allergan, and CAC. 
A consultation with Diane takes the guesswork our of choosing the right course of action. By leaning on her expertise, you can trust that your facial aesthetics and overall skin health are in good hands. She puts her extensive education to work by providing a personalized, informative, and all-inclusive facial assessment, taking the time to guide you through your options and help you achieve both short and long term goals. Diane’s approach to facial aesthetic care stands out as a unique and comprehensive solution that adds unmatched value to your patient experience. 

Jill Wierks

Aesthetician

Jill Wierks came to the Centre for Pure Skin in 2013 after many years in aesthetics. She worked as an instructor with Douglas J Aveda Institute and as the lead aesthetician in a specialty women’s boutique before turning her attention to medical skincare. When you visit Jill you’ll find that skincare isn’t just a career, it’s her passion. Her patients love that she offers a combination of expertise and an incredibly sweet and open disposition.

Jill is constantly pursuing opportunities to further her education by traveling the country for extensive training with some of the industry's leading experts. She says “I’m devoted to creating long-lasting relationships with my patients by exceeding their expectations. I love teaching her patients proper skincare and believe it is important to inspire them to maintain a healthy skin regimen between treatments."
 

Madeline Jewell

Aesthetician

Madeline Jewell came to the Centre for Pure Skin in 2021 after many years as a hair, makeup and skincare expert. Her wealth of knowledge, bubbly personality and welcoming manner made her a perfect selection for our team. She quickly assimilated into practicing medical aesthetics, becoming a certified skincare and laser specialist. You’ll find that Madeline’s exceptional expertise and comforting sense of humor make her an easy choice to help you address your skincare needs. 

Madeline graduated from Douglas J. Aveda in 2014 with licenses in both cosmetology and esthiology. She went on to further her education by becoming an educator herself, teaching and working in a salon environment. Madeline’s ambitions as an aesthetician are centered around a skincare journey that brings her patients to a deeper level of confidence. She says, “I love it when my patients come back to me excited to learn more about the process of skin care. When they are engaged in understanding their skin and invested in supporting what we do here at home, I know that they will enjoy the most impactful results. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than watching my patients gain the kind of confidence that comes with choosing to make their needs a priority, and I am so honored to be a part of that experience.”
 

Emily Mersman

MMS, PA-C, Injection Specialist

Emily Mersman, MMS, PA-C has been with the Centre for Pure Skin as a certified laser technician and injection specialist since 2013. Emily has a special interest in Plastic Surgery and non-invasive aesthetic medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University and obtained her Masters of Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in Arizona. She has been a practicing physician assistant since 2007 with a diverse background in Orthopedic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine. Throughout her practice, she has achieved a considerable number of advanced certifications through continued education and held memberships with the AAPA & AASPA. 

With thousands of injections to her credit, Emily’s experience provides new patients with peace of mind and confidence during their initial visit while her warm, loyal and caring personality brings them back. When you meet Emily, you’ll find that she focuses on a detailed facial assessment and has an excellent aesthetic eye for symmetry and natural results. Her patients take comfort in her status as a master-level injector, and the emphasis she places on safety and results. “My goal as a provider is to achieve high patient satisfaction and trust. Seeing their satisfaction with the process is so rewarding. Most importantly, I love building personal relationships and truly enjoy the time that I get to spend with each individual patient,” she says.

Linda Nguyen Rhodes

NP-C, Injection Specialist

Linda Nguyen Rhodes, NP-C was initially welcomed to our office in 2021 as a part of our surgical nursing team at the Centre for Plastic Surgery, but it quickly became apparent that she would be a fantastic addition to Pure Skin as an Injection Specialist. She spent the first years of her career mastering the art of surgical nursing before she was led into medical aesthetics. After training with some of the industry’s most renowned experts, Linda quickly began building her own practice as a skilled and trusted provider. When you meet Linda, she’ll immediately put you at ease with her quick knowledge and soothing bedside manner. 

Linda completed her B.S. Health Professions at Grand Valley State University in 2011. She then went on to further distinguish herself with BSN, MSN, and FNP degrees from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the AANP, ANA and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society. Linda has a fervent belief that aesthetic medicine should be inclusive for all people and is dedicated to helping her patients find their own individual paths to a result that makes them feel simply sensational. When asked to describe her own personal goal she says, “I have a passion for building bonds with my patients, while helping them safely and naturally achieve their aesthetic goals. I truly believe in tailoring treatments to fit the unique desires of each individual, as well as helping them to feel like their most exquisite and exceptional self.” 

Shelley Schertzer

NP-C, Injection Specialist

Shelley Schertzer, NP-C became a part of the team at Centre for Pure Skin in early 2020. Her extensive background of over 20 years in the medical field with a special focus on Internal Medicine, Women’s Health and Aesthetic Medicine made her a welcome addition to our team. Her passion for continuing education, aesthetic trends, advanced injection techniques and exceptional patient care aligns perfectly with the values of our Centre.

Shelley pursued her undergraduate degree at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She then furthered her education in nursing with a graduate degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Shelley is a registered member of the AANP and the International Academy of Aesthetics where she completed the Facial Aesthetics Master Program. She practiced Aesthetic Medicine at the Detroit Aesthetics Company with expert injector Dr. Kyle Farr, prior to her family's relocation to West Michigan. 

Shelley has developed her nursing practice around the belief that lasting relationships and individualized care lead to the best outcomes. She says “I find working to establish open communication and long-term aesthetic goals lead to empowered patients who look and feel amazing!"

Annie Zimmerman

RN, BSN, Injection Specialist

In 2020, Annie Zimmerman, RN, BSN came to Pure Skin after many years practicing as an injection specialist. Annie’s reputation for extraordinary patient care and comprehensive aesthetic expertise made her transition to our practice seamless. When you meet Annie, you’ll discover that she is a nurturer to the core and that her true heart shows in the dedication that she gives to her patients. 

Annie pursued her BSN at Madonna and Michigan State Universities, earning her degree in 1986. She began her nursing career at Henry Ford as a Nurse Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After nearly a decade in the hospital, she brought her knowledge and passion for aesthetic medicine into the medical skin care center theater as a Laser & Injection expert. 

Annie has built her practice on long-term patient relationships that span many miles and many years. She says “I love getting to know my clients beyond the typical provider/patient relationship. When I learn who they really are, I am able to provide a level of treatment that meets their needs and goals. My practice is completely centered around creating an experience that fits each individual patient.”
