At the Centre for Pure Skin, we don’t believe that beautiful, glowing skin can be achieved through a “one size fits all” approach. Our entire menu of chemical peel treatments has been hand-selected based on customizable options that aim to deliver optimal results.
We offer a variety of chemical peels to reverse the visible signs of damaged skin, which can lead to tighter, more youthful, and even-looking skin. The medical-grade chemical peels performed in our Grand Rapids office work to slough off dead skin cells; revealing a fresh, healthy, glowing layer of skin.
People with reasonably healthy skin are the best candidates for chemical peels. Not sure if your skin is “reasonably healthy?” Don’t worry—we’ll discuss that during your initial consultation.
Chemical peel facial treatments can be a great way to manage aging skin. They can be formulated to target fine lines, mild to moderate wrinkles, skin laxity, age spots and more.
Spots and bumps caused by acne breakouts can be hard to manage on your own. Chemical peels can be a great way to reduce mild to moderate acne breakouts and acne scars.
Along with proper home care, some chemical peels may help to balance dry or dehydrated skin by sloughing off old dry dead skin cells and improving the strength of your lipid barrier.
For those who wish to maintain glowing and more youthful-looking skin, chemical peels can be a great way to keep already healthy skin looking fabulous.

During your initial consultation, your provider will walk you through what to expect during your procedure. With most chemical peels, patients report little to no discomfort. However, there are many different types of peels, and some can create an uncomfortable sensation on the skin both during and after treatment.
Downtime associated with chemical peels varies according to which type of treatment is received. Many patients will experience some redness and flaking of the skin following a chemical peel, but many do not. Further downtime depends on many factors such as the skin concern being treated, the patient’s tolerance to the peel, and the chemical formulation of the peel. During your consultation, your provider will discuss the different chemical peel options as well as the common side effects following those treatments.
We offer a wide variety of peels that can be easily adjusted to fit your skin, your lifestyle and your specific concerns. The Centre for Pure Skin chemical peel menu is organized by peel strength; from medium depth to very superficial peels.
Our level four peels are best for moderate to severe skin concerns. As our most active chemical peels, these highly advanced treatments can be used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe skin imperfections such as melasma, acne scarring, and more mature lines and wrinkles. They are appropriate for patients who desire a deeply active, specially tailored treatment that reveals fresh new skin and dramatic results. Our level four peels include a 5 – 7 day supply of hand-selected, post-treatment products.
Best for mild to moderate skin concerns, our customizable, targeted level three peels offer medium-depth exfoliation. They are designed to address a variety of skin concerns such as uneven texture, fine lines, wrinkles, acne and discoloration. These highly effective treatments penetrate the damaged outer layers of the skin and work to reveal healthier skin and improve skin appearance. Level three peels are best for patients who wish to actively combat visible skin damage. Our level three peels include a 5 – 7 day supply of hand-selected, post-treatment products.
These enhanced treatments are best for aging and/or acne-prone skin, and provide superficial exfoliation. They are most commonly recommended in a series of three or more treatments delivered every four weeks. Our level two peels support cell turnover and promote healthy glowing skin. There is little to no downtime associated with our level two peels and your provider will make individual recommendations for at-home skin care.
Our level one peels work to improve mild skin imperfections and promote healthy skin. These peels are perfect for patients who wish to maintain healthy skin, wish to try a chemical peel for the first time or reveal glowing skin for a special event. These treatments work by providing very superficial exfoliation to reveal softer, smoother skin. Your provider may recommend a series of treatments and/or a home care regimen to help you achieve your desired outcome.
